Active@ LiveCD is a powerful tool that can help you access and recover data from a non-bootable PC. It can boot any machine from various portable media, including CDs, DVDs, Blu-ray discs, and USB flash disks. The tool supports all boot modes, including legacy BIOS and the latest UEFI secure boot. You can customize your desktop configuration, save it to USB, and restore it for subsequent sessions.

Active@ LiveCD includes an anti-virus scanner to detect viruses and repair infected systems. It also allows read/write access to various file systems such as NTFS, FAT/exFAT, Ext2/Ext3/Ext4, BtrFS, F2FS, ReiserFS, HFS+, JFS, UFS, XFS, and ZFS. You can recover deleted, damaged, or reformatted volumes and undelete lost files. In addition, you can back up volumes and local disks and restore them in case of a system crash.

Active@ LiveCD also lets you securely erase all data on your volumes according to 24 international erasing standards. It features a low-level data inspection tool, which allows you to view and edit raw disk sectors in a hexadecimal editor. The tool has a Software Manager that downloads and installs extra RPM packages from web repositories. The Expert Partitioner manages any disk, volumes, RAIDs, and networking. Okular Document Viewer previews various documents, including PDF, EPS, DjVu, FB2, eBook, CHM, and other formats. The Advanced Text Editor previews/edits files stored in many text formats, supporting coloring.

Active@ LiveCD also offers security features such as encrypted TrueCrypt volumes and files that can be attached and managed.
